We need a handy person with a green thumb to maintain our facilities here at Gailes Community House. We are a small neighbourhood centre based in an old housing commission house with some lovely hedges and gardens that need some tendering every now and then. The gardens make Gailes Community House a welcoming space. We also have occasional maintenance tasks such as hanging pictures, fixing cupboards, tables etc.

The Kokoda Youth Foundation is a dedicated and passionate non-profit organisation committed to running experiential youth programs, which help young people gain physical and mental resilience, confidence, and instill in them the values of Courage, Endurance, Mateship and Sacrifice through the story of the Kokoda Campaign in 1942. We need Delivery Assistants to ride along with our Truck drivers and help with loading and unloading heavy items in our trucks. Our trucks travel throughout Cairns and as far as Innisfail, Tully, Atherton, Ravenshoe, Mareeba delivering stock destined for our retail stores and or directly to people in need. The person will also assist in the warehouse as needed, re-stocking and preparing loads for transport.
