Wetlands are a powerful ally in tackling climate change by capturing blue carbon, protecting our coasts from wild weather events, and cleaning our water. They’re also vital to tackling the decline in biodiversity as well. Unfortunately, only 5% of Australia’s Wetlands remain – it’s time to invest in nature-based solutions to these challenges.

Everyone is welcome to volunteer at parkrun events. We have heaps of fun, simple and rewarding opportunities to lend a hand for one to two hours on a Saturday morning at parkrun events across Australia. No training is required, roles are fully supported on the day and you can take part as often or as little as you would like. You can volunteer as a marshal, timekeeper, photographer or try your hand at scanning barcodes and handing out tokens…..to name a few of the roles we have available.

Red Nose are looking for volunteers to help sell merchandise and accept donations as part of the 36th annual Red Nose Day appeal on Friday 9th August! Down Syndrome Queensland (DSQ) is organising for our young adults with Down syndrome to attend our Challenge Weekend Camps throughout the year and require volunteers to assist us with this event. There are multiple opportunities throughout the year: we will require the volunteers to be available from 3pm Friday to approximately 12pm Sunday. Dates range however camps are usually held in March and November.

EWB Australia is conducting its first group facilitation training underpinned by Groupwork Centre's Model of Collaborative Practice. To boost our ability to process, retain, and recall information, we would love to bring in a Visual Note-Taker/Graphic Recorder to capture the gold nuggets in every session and our learnings as a group. Some of our staff based in Asia-Pacific will be joining us, so this training will be held online.
