Every night, up to 900* people sleep rough in Perth’s inner city, with over 9,000 people experiencing homelessness across WA. We work to support people on their journey out of homelessness. Our outreach, crisis support and accommodation teams assist people with their needs and support them to access the services that are right for them at any stage in their journey. Volunteers help us to reach more people experiencing homelessness.

Hollywood Hospital seeking volunteers to provide 1:1 companionship to patients, company and support to patients when their meals are delivered on the ward, and support in some of our activity groups and therapy sessions.

This compassionate and rewarding volunteer role provides support to patients in the rehabilitation ward at Hollywood Hospital. You will be contributing to a positive and encouraging dining experience that promotes their recovery and well-being.

Want to help people living with vision loss? Macular degeneration is the leading cause of blindness in Australians and we are after someone to help run support groups for people living with macular degeneration! Group meetings are held at the Willagee Community Centre.

MDFA's Support Groups provide a safe and welcoming space for people living with aged-related macular degeneration to share their stories and ask questions of their peers. The Facilitator role is well suited to someone with good communications skills and confidence in public speaking. Ideally you will have experience facilitating a support group and/or demonstrate the ability to lead a balanced discussion. Personal experience with macular disease is desirable, not necessary.

General Volunteers operate in departments within the hospital based on their experience and/or interest. The volunteers will carry out a range of activities designed to support patients and their visitors during their stay at the hospital. A volunteer has the opportunity to have a more ongoing interaction with a particular ward or clinical service

A haircut may seem small, but it can have a positive impact on a person's self-esteem and wellbeing. It could be the confidence boost someone needs to apply for accommodation or for a job. Our aim is to give 15,000 free haircuts and positive community connections per year by 2025. That’s where you come in.

Can you help support our programs by volunteering in the St Pats Community Store. A low cost/no cost store for people who are homeless/risk of homelessness/concession card holders and the general public. The store stocks everything from food and toiletries to bedding and clothing.

The group of volunteers, called 'The Friends' are like minded people of all ages and backgrounds who "like to help". Friendships are formed. Often it is found all that is needed is a sympathetic ear and words of encouragement and cheer. To allay the apprehension of those who find strangeness and loneliness in their new hospital surroundings, the volunteers visit inpatients, escort new patients and visitors to appointments, provide comfort, always with a kind word or gesture and good cheer.

The Ellenbrook Mile promotes mental and physical wellbeing in the Ellenbrook and surrounds area. We are seeking Information Officers for our quirky kiosk in Ellenbrook Shopping Centre. You will be helping enquirers get connected to local services who are seeking information on local NFP, services or clubs. We love people with creative ideas to engage others.
