The Facilitator role is well suited to someone with good communications skills and confidence in public speaking. Ideally you will have experience facilitating a support group and/or demonstrate the ability to lead a balanced discussion. Personal experience with macular disease is desirable, not necessary.

WA Wildlife's Rehabilitation Ward program is for anyone interested in rehabilitating wildlife (there are no pre-requisites). Rehabilitation volunteers need to attend a minimum of one shift per week (8.30am - 2.30pm or 2.30pm - 8.30pm). Volunteers will work under the guidance of the Rehabilitation Coordinator and/or an experienced volunteer.

The group of volunteers, called 'The Friends' are like minded people of all ages and backgrounds who "like to help". Friendships are formed. Often it is found all that is needed is a sympathetic ear and words of encouragement and cheer.
