for Australian Red Cross - Emergency Response
The Pillowcase Program is a school-based disaster preparedness program designed to help students aged 8-10 (years 3 to 4) build their knowledge and capacity in disaster preparedness. We are seeing emergencies occur more frequently and with more severity. This project is part of the broader, emergency preparedness, response and recovery programs of Australian Red Cross.
Red Cross has been responding to emergencies and providing humanitarian assistance in Australia since 1914. We are committed to strengthening and extending our emergency aid services to assist all Australians in preparing for, responding to, and recovering from emergencies. As part of our Emergency Services team, you will join a group of over 900 trained volunteers ready to assist locally and across the state in times of emergency.

The club is looking for a Physio to join the Sports & Medicine team providing with paramedic and remedial massages to players. The skilled volunteer will diagnose injuries and provide rehab advice to patients whilst at the Rugby Club. The volunteer will also advise coaches if/when a player can return to action.

The Safety school is open Monday – Friday from 9am -1pm, where you assist children during this fun interactive program. Volunteering can be one day a week, a fortnight or month for a four-hour shift. Sadly, road trauma is a leading cause of death and serious injury in WA children, come make a difference!
