Volunteering with Citizens Advice Bureau is an interesting and rewarding way to ‘give back’ to the Western Australian community. We are looking for an Emergency Relief (ER) volunteer who is non-judgmental and can commit to attending every Monday. Our ER Volunteers deliver a responsive and appropriate service providing equitable access to all members of the community. Suits volunteers who have had experience with interviewing and can display an understanding and empathy to members of the community who need assistance. Basic computer skills essential.

We are currently looking for Parent Peer Volunteers to facilitate family peer support groups to parents and families. You may also be interested in providing telephone support to parents calling the service in distress on our telephone roster, As our service provides Peer Support, IT'S ESSENTIAL you have lived experience in this area.

Breastfeeding counsellors are trained volunteers who offer breastfeeding information and mother-to-mother support to women whose babies are breastfeeding and to their families. Their area of expertise is breastfeeding support. The counsellors have to have breastfed at least one baby for a minimum of 6 months and hold a current Certificate IV in Breastfeeding Education (Counselling) (or equivalent) and have to complete ongoing training to up d ate their knowledge and skills.
