Volunteers are needed for the Capital Limited Breaths & Beats ride at the South Perth foreshore on Sunday 21 April 2024. Help us cheer on the riders crossing the finish-line, with the post-ride community picnic that includes food trucks, presentations, live music and kids entertainment. We are seeking volunteers to help us make the day as smooth as possible for both the riders, vendors, and the external community attending.

General Volunteers operate in departments within the hospital based on their experience and/or interest. The volunteers will carry out a range of activities designed to support patients and their visitors during their stay at the hospital. A volunteer has the opportunity to have a more ongoing interaction with a particular ward or clinical service

We require volunteers to offer arts and crafts to patients and their families.

The group of volunteers, called 'The Friends' are like minded people of all ages and backgrounds who "like to help". Friendships are formed. Often it is found all that is needed is a sympathetic ear and words of encouragement and cheer. To allay the apprehension of those who find strangeness and loneliness in their new hospital surroundings, the volunteers visit inpatients, escort new patients and visitors to appointments, provide comfort, always with a kind word or gesture and good cheer.

The Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation is located at the Perth Children’s Hospital in Nedlands. Our Donation Tin Program is a key source of fundraising with all proceeds helping to ensure we continue to provide world-class healthcare to WA’s sick kids. Tins are hosted by businesses throughout the Perth metropolitan area to seek donations from customers frequenting the business.

The Voluntary Transport team is a lifeline for patients who have no other way of getting to our hospital. Our team picks up and drops off patients at Royal Perth Hospital. We also help patients to get from the Voluntary Transport vehicle to their appointment in the hospital building. We are always looking for new volunteers. A one-year commitment a required, consisting of a weekly 2.5 - 3 hour shift. The 'FSH' team has an awesome play-room for group games, brings smiles to children on the ward and in ED, and collaborates with Murdoch's team for awesome catch-ups!

The Midland team are known for their monthly team dinners, bringing smiles to children on the ward and in ED, and coining the activity "Bubble Fall"!

We are looking for a dedicated Volunteer Social Media Manager who will be working specifically with Facebook, Twitter and potentially other platforms, to augment our brand and nurture profound online communities. The Social Media Manager will create and post thought-provoking content, designed to create an interactive relationship between external stakeholders and the organisation. The candidate will also be required to gather and assess data from platforms to develop further campaigns.

This role has a focus on creating innovative digital experiences, incorporating visual and interaction design to help deliver an exceptional experience and work on existing and new features, and the evolution of our web, app and other company wide visual assets.
