All young people involved in the program will have gone through requirements to ensure basic driving ability and will be provided mentoring in order to complete the 50 hours of compulsory supervised driving.

The restoration team, of which you would be a part, have the responsibility for restoring and maintaining the locomotive and rollingstock collection at Rail Heritage WA with tasks according to the skills and interests of the volunteer. Previous experience desirable in working in relevant areas but on-the-job training will be provided.
