MEHG is looking for volunteers who can assist with our environmentally-friendly projects in and around Mandurah. We welcome anyone with a love for the environment and a general level of fitness. No previous experience is required.

Our Cadet Program runs from April to October each year. It is open to kids between the age of 12 - 16. Cadets are trained in various facets of Firefighting and other skills. Teamwork and Communication are a big part of this program and we have had many of our Cadets stay on after turning 16 to become Active Volunteer Firefighters. Cadets may also have the opportunity to go on Camps run by the Brigade, DFES also give Cadets opportunities to go on camps.

Our animal rescue facility is seeking skilled tradespeople and handypersons to generously volunteer their time and expertise in providing essential maintenance services. From electrical and plumbing tasks to equipment maintenance and general handyman work, these crucial duties ensure the safety and efficiency of our operations. Down Syndrome Queensland (DSQ) is organising for our young adults with Down syndrome to attend our Challenge Weekend Camps throughout the year and require volunteers to assist us with this event. There are multiple opportunities throughout the year: we will require the volunteers to be available from 3pm Friday to approximately 12pm Sunday. Dates range however camps are usually held in March and November.

EWB Australia is conducting its first group facilitation training underpinned by Groupwork Centre's Model of Collaborative Practice. To boost our ability to process, retain, and recall information, we would love to bring in a Visual Note-Taker/Graphic Recorder to capture the gold nuggets in every session and our learnings as a group. Some of our staff based in Asia-Pacific will be joining us, so this training will be held online.
