Your reliability and enthusiasm will be appreciated, as will your previous woodworking or carpentry experience.

Do you like working outdoors? You'll be physically active and able to assist this heritage organisation to maintain their grounds (approximately 1 hectare) for the enjoyment of visitors. Tasks include mowing, mulching, trimming, weeding etc. Some gardening and grounds maintenance experience would be an advantage however, any interest in these fields would be appropriate. Main days of work are Mob and Wed. Must be fully vaccinated for COVID 19.

If you enjoy working in the outdoors, this is the role for you. You'll assist with mowing, whipper-snipping, hand weeding, spraying, mulching and planting. All PPE and equipment (self-propelled mowers, whipper-snippers etc) provided. All chemical use is under strictly controlled conditions. The monthly planting day is held on the 3rd Sunday of each month. You'll join this dedicated team who use these days to expand the revegetation of natural bushland across currently cleared areas. No experience necessary. Over the past 25 years, this program has led to the creation of a National Park!

Your basic sewing machine skills, or willingness to learn, will be useful in this role sewing wildlife rescue pouches and basket liners. Only straight line sewing, and patterns are cut along straight lines. All equipment is provided. Pouches and liners are sewn to specific sizes and designs and are given to local wildlife carers as needed. Timing is flexible - between 8am and 1pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
