The Bilby Toy Library is a program of Berkeley Vale Neighbourhood Centre Inc and runs entirely on the funds it gets from membership. You will be responsible for the upkeep of the toy library. Assist with the operation of the Book Trolley at our Centre. This role involves processing donated books and magazines, including screening suitable books and magazines for content. You will organise and maintain the Volunteer Library, organise and transport the book trolley, offer books and magazines to consumers, their carers, and families in our Centre and provide general support and/or conversation to involve them in positive connections.

Love books? Love sharing your passion for reading? The Footpath Library is Australia's only free mobile library, and our books are a gift to those who have difficulty accessing good quality reading material. We're looking for volunteers who can support our service delivery on a monthly basis, mostly during business hours in the week. Locations are Newtown, Waterloo, South Marrickville (daytime) and Sydney CBD (evenings)

We are excited to be expanding the Sir Donald Bradman research library collection with a donation of a significant personal collection in 2024. We are looking for someone to assist with the organisation and cataloguing of this new collection. We are also looking for assistance with the establishment of research library loan partnerships and processes within our broader library network and research librarian services on an ad-hoc basis.

We are embarking on the digitisation of a large historical collection of photographs into the museum collection. This will involve organising, scanning and saving photographs from the archives, and carefully returning to archives. Calling all "kids at heart"! The Newcastle and Hunter Toy Library is seeking a regular volunteer to assist with the running of the Toy Library sessions on Saturday mornings. The Toy Library is a terrific service based at New Lambton Library and run entirely by volunteers.

Volunteers will help with ensuring that the BVHS Collection is managed and conserved in accordance with National Standards for Australian Museums and Galleries. The aim is to maintain the physical & electronic collection registers of Photographs and Objects within the museum and the machinery shed.
