MDFA's Peer Support Groups provide a safe and welcoming space for people living with aged-related macular degeneration to share their stories and ask questions of their peers. The Facilitator role is well suited to someone with good communications skills and confidence in public speaking. Ideally you will have experience facilitating a support group and/or demonstrate the ability to lead a balanced discussion. Personal experience with macular disease is desirable, not necessary.

Do you need your horse-fix? Do you like to work outdoors? Do you have experience with horses? Are you older than 18? Do you have 30 - 60 minutes to spare on a Wednesday, Friday or Sunday morning on an ongoing basis (either every week or once a fortnight)? Then this may be a volunteer position for you!

Volunteers provide support to vulnerable community members accessing Emergency Relief by conducting face to face interviews with consumers who are presenting for assistance, and help facilitate access to material goods and vouchers, and referrals to other programs and agencies.

Are you a people-person, passionate about helping the community? Do you thrive working within a supportive team environment? Assist those in need by providing essential goods and services.

Do you love that wonderful age when kids wriggle and skip when they're happy? When they stare at you with huge wondrous eyes and a grin full of teeny-tiny teeth?
