The Kingston Neighbourhood House (KNH) Board provides governance support to the Manager and staff of KNH to enable efficient operations. THE KNH Board is a group of professionals based in the Kingborough community and commit 1-2 hours per month for Board meetings and 1-2 hours per month for work on sub-committees or projects as they arise.

We are looking for another "ninja" volunteer. Our "ninja" volunteers pick up bread and other products of a night time or morning and drop them off to the House for distribution to community members the following day. We call them our "ninja" volunteers because they do very important work but are hardly ever seen apart from our bi-annual celebrations.

Sorting Warehouse Greeters are responsible for welcoming donors and other visitors as they approach the Sorting Warehouse in Brownells Lane and providing advice on donation suitability.

Hobart City Mission's Sorting Warehouse is the engine room for our Retail Op shops. Donated electrical items are sorted and sent out to stores for people to purchase, instead of sending them to landfill! Sold donations raise money to support Hobart's vulnerable community experiencing crisis.

This role will provide retail experience in a large furniture warehouse selling pre-loved furniture, electrical items and records.

The Eastside Repair Café launched recently on Hobart’s sunny eastern shore, and is held on the last Saturday of each month. We need more volunteers to help us deliver this wonderful community initiative, doing a range of roles including fixing things, sewing things and generally helping with things! Red Nose Day is our headline fundraising campaign each year, raising funds to support the work of Red Nose in saving little lives and caring for bereaved families, and raising awareness for the cause. Merchandise stall holders collect cash and facilitate EFTPOS donations, and sell small merchandise. Support Red Nose funding vital programs and bereavement care services.
