This role provides one-on-one social support to the socially isolated elderly in a Residential Aged Care Home or on a Home Care Package.

The Aged Care Volunteer is matched with a socially or culturally isolated resident in the community or in an aged care facility. Visits are minimum of 1 hour a fortnight. The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme is across the NT - in Darwin, Nhulunbuy, Katherine, Tennant Creek and Alice Springs.

Do you speak a language other than English? Adults from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds make up about 30% of older Australians, but are underrepresented in dementia research. We are seeking a Connect2You Facilitator to greet and connect with isolated and lonely older Australians who cess our essential service and 'drop-in' for a chat via Zoom.
