The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme (ACVVS) is a government funded program to combat social isolation and helps to develop social connections for older persons. Ageing with Grace believe that social connections are essential to the well-being of older people. We are seeking enthusiastic, compassionate, friendly volunteer visitors to spend time with people who are at risk of social isolation and loneliness.

This role provides one-on-one social support to the socially isolated elderly in a Residential Aged Care Home or on a Home Care Package.

The Aged Care Volunteer is matched with a socially or culturally isolated resident in the community or in an aged care facility. Visits are minimum of 1 hour a fortnight. The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme is across the NT - in Darwin, Nhulunbuy, Katherine, Tennant Creek and Alice Springs.
