Seeking volunteers to support Dementia Australia staff and clients in our various social support programs, which are held on weekday mornings. Our social support programs are held every day Monday to Friday and include various opportunities to join groups such as our coffee and chat, gallery/museum groups, craft, woodworking, men’s shed and walking groups around the ACT. The Roundabout Project is a volunteer peer support project that aims to assist participants with Disability to engage with our LGBTIQA+ community encouraging networking and connections. By sharing personal experiences and developing mutual peer-to-peer friendship, participants may gain a greater sense of connection to community and develop a deeper sense of belonging, self-esteem, and interpersonal trust.

This exciting role involves interpreting our clients' communication to family members, and medical and other support staff. The role is suitable for students learning AUSLAN.
