Drive for Life is a driver training and mentoring program that equips young people who are overcoming adversity, to obtain their drivers licence. The program removes the barriers and provides a pathway towards positive role models, developing independent life skills and improving employment prospects. Our blind and low vision Technology staff require assistance getting to appointments, and any small assistance with technology such as reading pop-ups or unpacking equipment. With this role, you know you will be making positive change with every appointment from a community and team that will be happy to have you join their team.

Get2Know is looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Volunteer Support Coordinator who is able to use their understanding of the disability sector to make a real difference in the lives of NDIS participants. The right candidate will be highly compassionate and caring, be able to think outside the box, and possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills used to speak to our internal and external stakeholders.

Approved volunteers agree to provide mentoring and friendship to a young person between the ages of 7 and 17. They commit to spending quality time with a carefully selected young person from a vulnerable or disadvantaged background for approximately 2 hours per fortnight for a period of 12 months. You will not be sitting in an office all day but going out to meet mentees.
