The Hyland House Respite Centre in Petrie is currently recruiting volunteers to assist in our diverse range of weekday programs and activities, social groups, and social outings.

We are currently looking for Volunteer Drivers to pick up or drop off older persons in company vehicles so they can attend the Hyland House Respite Centre in Petrie. A company vehicle is provided.

Drive for Life is a driver training and mentoring program that equips young people who are overcoming adversity, to obtain their drivers licence. The program removes the barriers and provides a pathway towards positive role models, developing independent life skills and improving employment prospects. We are looking for volunteers to be a Driver Mentor at our Stafford site. Join the team today!

The purpose of this voluntary role is to support with picking up and delivering small donations from various locations around Brisbane provided by GIVIT’s generous donors. We also require sorting and cleaning of the donations, so they are suitable for recipients. The person also needs to be personable so we can get social media content for the drop-off’s which may involve wearing the GIVIT heart mascot outfit from time to time.

The Emergency Relief Food Pantry prepares food parcels for disadvantaged members of the local community. We are looking for someone to assist with driving to rescue / collect food for our Pantry. Some moderate lifting will be required. A current Car Drivers License will be necessary. Steel cap boots may be required.

Help build and support your community by providing support for our social groups, enabling them to attend outings / activities / events in the Community. Our volunteer drivers are needed to assist with the driving of our 10 - 12 seater Toyota HiAce mini-bus (C Class Licence is sufficient). Wesley Mission Queensland’s Hadden Place Dementia Specific Day Respite Centre at Sinnamon Park is looking for people interested in driving our clients to and from our centre and on outings in company fleet vehicles. Shifts are available Monday to Friday, morning (9am till 1pm) or afternoon (1pm till 4pm).
