In this particular role, a lady who grew up in former Yugoslavia would enjoy reminiscing in her first language and sharing a tea or coffee with you.

We are looking for Arabic or Rohingya speaking volunteers to provide language support to adult migrants and refugees attending our monthly Women’s Group in Zillmere. Volunteers play an important role in creating welcome, inclusion and belonging.

Community Crafternoons is about bringing our community together and supporting those feeling isolated to connect to other locals whilst learning a new skill. Here is your chance to make a difference! You will be able to achieve this by organising and preparing a weekly/fortnightly/monthly meal for people who may be experiencing, (or who are at risk of) homelessness as well as other vulnerable groups in the community. We need adult volunteers to judge primary and secondary school debates at various locations across Brisbane City, Brisbane suburbs, Redlands, Logan, Ipswich, Moreton Bay, Gold Coast and Toowoomba. Volunteers will listen to two or three debates an evening and are expected to deliver an oral adjudication to outline the winning team whilst encouraging students with suggestions on how they can improve and how they can debate better.
