The Family of League has been given the exciting opportunity to be the 50:50 Raffle, charity partner at the NRL's Magic Round on Sunday 19th of May. We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us raise funds to change the lives of those we support in the Rugby League community who are struggling physically, financially and emotionally. We are a small neighbourhood centre based in an old housing commission house with some lovely hedges and gardens that need some tendering every now and then. The gardens make Gailes Community House a welcoming space. We also have occasional maintenance tasks such as hanging pictures, fixing cupboards, tables etc.

Darkness to Daylight is returning for its 11th year on the 29th - 30th May 2024. We are looking for someone to assist with the packing and distribution of these food parcels from our Pantry. The Pantry operates on weekdays from 9.00am - 1.00pm. Some moderate lifting will be required.

Sunday 26th May 2024 A family-friendly, fun-filled morning requires no special skills, experience, or training – just your presence and enthusiasm. Some tasks may include directing and encouraging participants around the course, selling merchandise, and handing out participants' packs. There is even a role for the keen bike riders out there! We need volunteers on the day from 6.45 a.m. to approximately midday in various roles.

The purpose of this voluntary role is to support with picking up and delivering small donations from various locations around Brisbane provided by GIVIT’s generous donors. We also require sorting and cleaning of the donations, so they are suitable for recipients. The person also needs to be personable so we can get social media content for the drop-off’s which may involve wearing the GIVIT heart mascot outfit from time to time.

Some moderate lifting will be required. A current Car Drivers License will be necessary. Steel cap boots may be required.
