Sunnybank Meals on Wheels provides support through the delivery of Hot, Chilled & Frozen Meals to Seniors, People with a Disability or Carers, living across Sunnybank and surrounding suburbs 5 days a week. Sunnybank MoW is looking for Delivery Drivers and Assistants to deliver meals to our client's homes while providing brief social interactions and a friendly face.

Do you like meeting and helping people? Can you be the friendly face people see when they visit our small but vibrant community centre? We are looking for a small team of volunteers to be the first point of contact for visitors, field telephone enquiries, take messages and bookings and help with set up and support for our activities and groups.

We need a handy person with a green thumb to maintain our facilities here at Gailes Community House. We are a small neighbourhood centre based in an old housing commission house with some lovely hedges and gardens that need some tendering every now and then. The gardens make Gailes Community House a welcoming space. We also have occasional maintenance tasks such as hanging pictures, fixing cupboards, tables etc.

The Emergency Relief Food Pantry prepares food parcels for disadvantaged members of the local community. We are looking for someone to assist with the packing and distribution of these food parcels from our Pantry. The Pantry operates on weekdays from 9.00am - 1.00pm. Some moderate lifting will be required.

Here is your chance to make a difference! You will be able to achieve this by organising and preparing a weekly/fortnightly/monthly meal for people who may be experiencing, (or who are at risk of) homelessness as well as other vulnerable groups in the community. This volunteer role involves working with a small team of like-minded volunteers who will create a warm & welcoming space for meals to be served, and engage with clients who attend in a respectful and non-judgemental manner.
