The Hyland House Respite Centre in Petrie is currently looking for volunteers for our Hobby Shed to assist older persons and people with a disability in making items with wood. This includes painting and glueing. No special skills are needed, just patience and an interest in wood crafts.

We need a handy person with a green thumb to maintain our facilities here at Gailes Community House. We are a small neighbourhood centre based in an old housing commission house with some lovely hedges and gardens that need some tendering every now and then. The gardens make Gailes Community House a welcoming space. We also have occasional maintenance tasks such as hanging pictures, fixing cupboards, tables etc.

We are seeking an all round maintenance assistant to our Maintenance Manager Joe. Duties include assisting with one off jobs for our residents around their home, as well as monthly maintenance checks around the building. This role is suitable for a volunteer who is physically fit.
