The Volunteer Tutor Scheme is a program that helps migrants and refugees who are unable to attend AMEP English classes, with one on one lessons for 1 hour per week. Anyone can become a volunteer tutor, even if you’re not a native English speaker. All you need is confidence in English, access to transport and the desire to help others learn. You will be helping people to access basic services and connect with the community, thereby having a huge impact on their ability to settle in Australia.

We are looking for a lovely lady who will be able to help us keep track of residents clothing when they go to the laundry by labeling the names of residents on their clothes.

A friendly, caring and skilled Volunteer Driver is required by Lutheran Services to drive our 20 seat bus to safely transport our residents on shopping trips and a variety of outings. An MR license is required. You must hold a clean current license and be able to provide the Medical Authority as required. Wednesday / Thursday outings one or two days per week. 8.30am - 2 pm. Lunch provided. (C)

She greatly misses speaking her native language and would like to be visited by a member of the Polish Community so that she can continue her Polish practices.
