Way Finding Volunteers help families navigate their way around the Queensland Children’s Hospital (QCH).Everyday QCH sees more than 1000 families come through the doors and the Way Finders are often the first point of contact for worried and often hurried parents, offering a welcoming smile and a gentle guiding hand.

As an Operating Theatre Recovery volunteer, you will work closely with staff to support the post-anaesthetic care of patients by providing comfort, as well as reconnecting and regulating caregiver visits. Volunteers also support the Queensland Children’s Hospital Recovery staff by answering the phones and maintaining comfort supplies.

Provide support to parents and carers entering the operating suites at the Queensland Children’s Hospital. Volunteers help ease the anxiety of a child’s surgical journey by working closely with medical staff to provide information and emotional support to parents and carers.

Help facilitate play, activities and distraction for patients, siblings and visitors at the Queensland Children’s Hospital. Join our volunteer team to provide moments of happiness and social connection in the hospital environment.

The Carindale Toy Library is looking for enthusiastic volunteers that can help us out for 2 hours at least once a month. We are open every second Saturday, and one Monday a month, from 10:00 am till 12:00 pm. The Carindale Toy Library has been around for over 20 years and aims to enrich children development through play.

If you have experience in the following, we'd love to hear from you! - Located around Brisbane or Logan area - previous coaching experience, especially with kids 5 - 14 yo to help us run our programs for 2024. - Have a Blue card or we can help you with the application process. - Hold a drivers licence and have access to a vehicle. If you like inspiring people and assisting them to achieve their goals, while helping them to provide valuable assistance to a worthy organisation, then you will enjoy this position.

Volunteers are required to assist with the conduct of Saturday morning competitions at the State Athletic Facility, QSAC, at Nathan in events such as throwing and jumping. Tasks will include recording results during the event, collecting throwing implements, pulling through the tape, raising the bar and raking the sand for jumping events. No experience required.
