A Warehouse Assistant supports the organisation by overseeing operational duties in the remit of ‘transport and logistics’. This could mean scanning materials as they arrive or leave the warehouse to maintain stock level records, moving items around from point A to B. Just assisting with the day-to-day running of a storage or logistics warehouse.

Volunteers are required for transporting of Young People and Children in care. Transporting will include from the Blair Athol DCP office to other Family contact locations, eg schools and libraries. Transporting of the children is with use of government vehicles.

Through supervised driving sessions with a Volunteer Driving Mentor, Learner drivers of refugee background have the opportunity to work towards completing their 75 hours of driving experience and gaining their P Plates. Volunteering in the program is a valuable way you can help learner drivers reach this life-changing goal.

The Volunteer Driver Assistant will support the primary driver in transporting goods, supplies, or individuals to various locations as needed.

Drive a shower truck over designated routes in accordance with time schedules; to pick up and drop off staff/ Volunteers and participants in a safe and efficient manner. The Driver is responsible, along with the Food Hub Manager, for seeing to it that the shower truck is kept in good operating order. The driver must be a responsible person with a clean driving record and current Australian shower truck driver’s license.

• Drive a bus over designated routes in accordance with time schedules; to pick up and drop off staff/ Volunteers and participants in a safe and efficient manner. • The Driver is responsible, along with the Camp Manager, for seeing to it that the camp’s vehicles are kept in good operating order. • The driver must be a responsible person with a clean driving record and current Australian bus driver’s license.
