Boccia SA is holding our State titles from 8th until 10th June 2024 at The Lights Community and Sports Centre. We are seeking volunteers to help us time keep games via a app on iPads. You will be taught how to do the timekeeping. Each day starts at 8:30am and finishes by 5pm. You don't need to attend the whole day or every day if you can't commit for the entire weekend and there will be vouchers for all volunteers to get something from the cafe and lunch provided. WWCC is required.

As a volunteer Resolution Officer, you will be responsible for receiving, assessing, investigating and responding to complaints or concerns from members of Fauna Rescue. Reporting to the Chairperson, this role will facilitate our goal of best practice wildlife care and support our volunteers with any matters that may arise.

No training is required, roles are fully supported on the day and you can take part as often or as little as you would like. You don't need to have a lot of computer knowledge to be successful within this role. Training is readily available and it's easy to learn. It will involve reading messages and creating posts and replying to customers. Search and Rescue involves being provided with a list of what is needed and Lost dogs of Adelaide have a supplier to help out.

This dynamic team install wildlife and possum boxes for our Wildlife Carers. The boxes in which we release our wildlife / possums are made of 19mm pine to provide the best insulation during our hotter summers but are therefore 6.5kg plus wildlife weight (up to 2kg). Ladders and harnesses are used to ensure safety for our installation team and training in best practice WH&S is also provided.

The Policy Writer is member of the SOWFI Governance and Policy Sub-Committee. The position works together with the Sub-Committee and the Board Secretary to support the preparation of both internal and public facing documents, including organisational policies, public facing position statements, responses to government inquiries, and other documents which advocate for the conservation, rescue and rehabilitation of native wildlife in line with SOWFI’s objectives.
