The Children's and Women's Health Wards are looking for friendly volunteers to help look after children and babies as well as assist parents. This is a multi-tasking role over 2 wards, dependant on where the need is.

Volunteers bring a ‘non-clinical’ aspect of service to the Emergency Department which aims to provide support to those who are ill or confronting sudden trauma or loss.

The objective of this role is to: * promote playgroups * support the playgroup facilitators * ensure programs are operating within the Australian Government Playgroup Program Guidelines. The assistant should ensure children attending the playgroup have the best start in life by providing a safe, welcoming, high quality, inclusive early education environment. He/she will support the playgroup leader in the day to day overseeing of the playgroup, providing a stimulating and varied programmes of play and ensuring the social development of the children at Puddle Jumpers.
