HANDY PEOPLE - WE NEED YOU ---------- Join our invaluable team of Home Maintenance Volunteers helping older residents in the City of Holdfast Bay stay independent in their homes longer.

Gardening & Maintenance Volunteers are key to assisting the RSPCA South Australia team in maintaining their outdoor grounds, plants and trees. Their team performs a range of general maintenance tasks, performs routine inspections of premises and equipment. Working with tools and basic light machinery performing preventative maintenance, handling basic repairs, prepare walls and other surfaces for painting etc.

We are looking for volunteers who enjoy working outdoors, are organised and able to take direction as required, and be prepared to assist with the Event Village set up to be a part of our Event Logistics 'Dirty Weekend' team, Friday 26 to Sunday 28 April 2024.

We would be happy with one shift a week or two, hours can vary depending on your availability and choice of tasks you're willing to do. Emu Community Children's Centre are looking for someone who can care for the outside environments of the childcare centre and assist with handy jobs around the centre.

As the Maintenance Support Volunteer, you will assist the Maintenance Officer to prepare homes for OARS clients which will include furniture deliveries and removals, with some basic maintenance duties required to provide a smooth transition for those entering new housing whilst being supported by the OARS accommodation team.
