Music in Health program provides entertainment and relaxation for the patients, visitors and staff of the Lyell McEwin Hospital (LMH) by offering a calming and engaging environment through music. The performances aim is to positively enhance the hospital’s atmosphere, environment and experience and embrace the cultural diversity of our community encouraging everyone to pause, listen and enjoy the music.

Activities include bushcare, revegetation, habitat improvement, biodiversity surveys (e.g. birds, frogs, plants, tree hollows), fish stocking and supporting community events.

The musician volunteer is responsible for bringing their musical talent to perform and bring the joy of music to the residents enabling residents to enjoy favourite tunes and songs and reminisce through the power of music.
