Animal Care Volunteers assist with providing care, rehabilitation and enrichment to animals. Our animal care volunteers will interact with animals using positive reinforcement animal handling techniques, learning skills from our experienced team members. Whilst providing support and care to our animals, our volunteers will also positively engage with customers ensuring they receive an engaging and educational experience.

Gardening & Maintenance Volunteers are key to assisting the RSPCA South Australia team in maintaining their outdoor grounds, plants and trees. Their team performs a range of general maintenance tasks, performs routine inspections of premises and equipment. Working with tools and basic light machinery performing preventative maintenance, handling basic repairs, prepare walls and other surfaces for painting etc.

Do you have some time to work with some residents who love gardening and work alongside our elders supporting their passion.

Do you have an interest in gardening? Our aged care home at Hendon has a central outdoor courtyard which needs some weekly TLC. This role is a role where you can choose your days and times to be able to attend and with the use of our gardening equipment potter and nurture the courtyard for our residents and families to enjoy.

Some of our elders at our Wayville home really wish to re-ignite their passion for music and in particular being part of a weekly choir. Do you have a few spare hours to visit once a week and get a choir group running enjoying the love of music?

Our Wayville home team are calling out for some support. If you are keen to assist with some maintenance tasks we would love to hear from you. We would be happy with one shift a week or two, hours can vary depending on your availability and choice of tasks you're willing to do. Its a very comfortable atmosphere and the guys are fun and inclusive.

Do you enjoy pottering enjoying gardens and assisting in simple maintenance jobs, if that sounds like you I would love to hear from you. Our Hendon home would love you support for 1 or more days a week. This role is flexible and would love to have support assisting the beauty of the gardens. There is also opportunity to work with residents in easy gardening pottering in garden beds, and growing some herbs and flowers as the seasons change.

The gardening program support volunteer will collaborate with the leisure and lifestyle team and volunteer gardening program to assist in the delivery of gardening programs and linked activities which are designed to maintain and enhance the physical, emotional and social wellbeing of residents based on their individual needs, interests and cultural backgrounds.

Eldercare aged care home at Woodcroft is seeking maintenance gardening support volunteer who can commit to a weekly shift with our team.

Are you available to answer wildlife rescue calls from home on set shifts? This SOWFI Wildlife Rescue phone team takes calls from members of the public who are concerned about a native bird or animal and helps find the quickest and best solution. A satisfying role for people who love wildlife, love to help and are good at problem-solving.

This is an important administrative role to support our Board Members. We are seeking expressions of interest from people with good time management, experienced in administrative roles and keen to support the leadership team of Save Our Wildlife Foundation Inc. (SOWFI) and our wildlife. This role could be 3-5 hours a week.
