The Esperance Aged Care Facility is looking to engage volunteers to visit residents of EACF, and create art, crafts, knitting or sculpting together with residents, while enjoying interesting conversations.

Do you speak a language other than English? Adults from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds make up about 30% of older Australians, but are underrepresented in dementia research. Finncare hosts a lifestyle center to enhance the wellbeing of our aged participants visiting for social interaction. We are looking for volunteers to join our team to engage them in arts & craft activities, reading or just having a cuppa. On occasion we may do day trips to local venues and welcome an extra set of caring hands.

This exciting role involves interpreting our clients' communication to family members, and medical and other support staff. The role is suitable for students learning AUSLAN.
