Explore the implications of critical biblical scholarship and the work of contemporary theologians and scholars;

Explore alternatives to traditional religious beliefs and
practices in light of contemporary knowledge;

Affirm the significance of the life and teachings of Jesus for
today.

PCNV Inc. values inquiry and intellectual integrity. It is open to diversity of opinion and does not impose any tests of beliefs for membership. It rejects biblical literalism and inerrancy and it understands the New Testament writings as documents written fordiverse Christian communities decades after the death of Jesus to convey messages about him rather than to report historical events.

PCNV Inc. expresses a non-denominational approach to Christianity and invites membership from people who welcome this approach to open Christianity and who support PCNV’s program.
