Ronald McDonald Family Room Royal North Shore Hospital

In December 2014 we opened our 15th Family Room in Australia at the new Royal North Shore Hospital in St Leonards. Ronald McDonald House Randwick are now responsible for the Family Room at Sydney Children’s Hospital and Royal North Shore Hospital (RNS) to assist local families with seriously ill children.

Situated on the 7th Floor of RNS Hospital in the Paediatric Ward is an oasis of calm for families. We are there to assist parents with a cup of tea or coffee, play games with visiting children, fix something to eat, provide a place to shower or simply to allow a quiet moment in a relaxed, warm and supportive environment while your child is sleeping or undergoing a procedure so please visit us if ever you find yourself in this position.

We are seeking Volunteers to support these families so that they have the energy to nurture a child back to full health. 3 hour shifts on a regular basis are available 7 days a week 365 days a year.
