About State Emergency Services

Providing emergency aid in times of natural disaster
Helping in natural and man-made emergencies

Undertake roles such as:

- cyclone and flood response
- land search and rescue
- air search observation
- cliff/cave rescue
- storm damage relief
- communications
- Management of Emergency Coordination Centre

Training is Wednesday evenings at the Unit on Hamilton St from 7.00pm to around 9.30pm.

No training on the 2nd Wednesday of the month as there is a committee meeting.

Volunteers need to wear boots and protective clothing.
