About Maneki Neko Cat Rescue

Maneki Neko Cat Rescue is an all breed cat rescue organisation run entirely by volunteers and is a registered charitable animal welfare organisation

Maneki Neko works collaboratively with the community to improve the welfare of cats and kittens. Its aim is to reduce euthanasia rates and to increase reclaiming and re-homing rates by finding loving homes for healthy de-sexed cats and kittens. Maneki Neko aims to promote micro-chipping and de-sexing of all pets.

The Maneki Neko is a Japanese symbol of success, prosperity, good health and happiness. Their organisation focuses on rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing of cats who have been left abandoned. It urgently needs adopters and volunteers to help these cats find a new home.

Having a cat as a member of the family has been proven to have positive benefits to physical and mental health. A cat can lift our spirits, give us a sense of calm and ensure that we are never lonely. Maneko Neko's experience is that, by finding happy and healthy homes for cats and kittens and by engaging volunteers, it is improving the lives and wellbeing of members of the community as well as the cats and kittens it saves.

Maneki Neko operate a fundraising store and art gallery for cat lovers. Another recent innovation is the Cat Lounge at Neko HQ, a luxurious space to relax and enjoy the company of cats. All funds raised benefit Maneki Neko Cat Rescue. More details can be found on Maneki Neko’s website or Facebook page.
