About Jewish Museum of Australia
The Jewish Museum of Australia promotes a society that embraces and respects cultural diversity and difference, in which Jews feel proud of, connected to and knowledgeable about their heritage and can confidently express their identities in a contemporary Australian context, and in which Jewish culture is understood and appreciated by the wider community. The museum is custodian to over 20,000 objects and stories that tell the continuum of Jewish life and what it means to be Jewish in Australia.
Our volunteers are the public face of the museum. They provide an invaluable resource and support a number of museum departments.
