About 3rd Williamstown Scout Group
The objective of the Scouting program is to cater for children’s sense of adventure and love of independence by encouraging the physical, intellectual, social and spiritual development of these young people and helping them to grow into capable, self-reliant individuals and responsible citizens, equipped to take a constructive place as members of their local and international communities in later life. This is done in a fun, adventurous, group environment, which is intellectually stimulating, physically vital with age appropriate activities and directed towards satisfying the child’s basic need to face and overcome challenges.
3rd Williamstown Scout Group is a member of the Victorian Branch of the Scout Association of Australia and is an organisation for youth, both girls and boys, ranging from 6-26 and with volunteer adult helpers.
Our Group consists of the following SECTIONS
• JOEY SCOUT MOB (5 - 7 year old)
• CUB SCOUT PACK (7½ -11 year old)
• SCOUT TROOP (10½ - 15 year old)
• VENTURER UNIT (14 – 18 year old)
• ROVERS (18 – 26 year old)
• Adult Volunteers who are Leaders, Assistant Leaders and adult helpers - all adult helpers are police cleared and have Working With Children clearance
• PARENT SUPPORT GROUP or GROUP COMMITTEE, made up of Parents and Friends of the youth members in the various sections and representatives of the local community.
