About Italian Day Centre
The Italian Day Centre is a community-based centre for seniors and people living with disabilities. We are a Tasmanian not-for-profit organisation with a strong focus on empowerment, community and independence for everyone. We provide social services and meals to the Tasmanian community since 1991.
Our centre is a cultural and social hub for the aged, people living with a disability, and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, with special reference to the Italian community. We currently operate two community centres across Tasmania - one in Southern Tasmania in North Hobart, and one in Northern Tasmania at Prospect Vale.
Our vision is for everyone to live independent, healthy and socially engaged lives. We are committed to making a positive difference to the well-being and quality of life of people in the community and at home. As part of our dynamic team of volunteers, we will all work together in achieving this important and rewarding goal.
Please Note: As each organisation provides different levels/types of insurance, volunteers are reminded to check with the organisation as to the level of coverage for volunteers due to various restrictions to ensure they are covered for the roles they will be undertaking.
