About Lifeline Canberra
For over 48 years, Lifeline Canberra has provided Telephone Crisis Support (13 11 14) to the people of Canberra and the surrounding region. This service is possible due to the dedication of over 250 trained volunteers from the ACT and region who fill shifts as part of a national network to ensure the phone will be answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
As part of an Australia wide network of Lifeline Centres, Lifeline Canberra takes calls from people who are in need of support at times of crisis. The crisis supporters provide impartial, non-judgemental, confidential support.
In addition to Telephone Crisis Support Services, Lifeline Canberra provides a number of other mental health awareness programs to the community.
