About Southern Adelaide Palliative Services
Southern Adelaide Palliative Service (SAPS) specialises in the care, support, and comfort of people who have a life-limiting illness. The care can be conducted in their own home, Nursing home, or Laurel Hospice
Our Volunteer service includes:
- Administrative assistance to SAPS staff and service
- Art Therapy sessions
- Bereavement Counselling
- Biography sessions
- Community assistance to those living at home.
- Laurel Hospice assistance
- Pet Therapy sessions in Laurel Hospice
- Wellbeing Care sessions
All volunteers provide practical and emotional support for patients, carers, their families, and SAPS staff. Our community volunteers can provide respite, social interaction, emotional support, and limited transport.
