Rotary Club of Boronia

About Rotary Club of Boronia

Our club is extremely active in our local community supporting organisations such as our local Schools, Bridge Builders and Knox Infolink. We strongly support Australian Rotary Health through involvement in the annual Ride for Medical Research, and support of the Lift the Lid (on mental illness) and other fundraising and awareness initiatives. In the international arena, we support ongoing programs such as Polio Plus (polio eradication program), Wheel Chairs for Kids and Donations in Kind, as well as undertaking a range of community development and health related projects in conjunction with our Sister Club, the Rotary Club of Taveuni Island in Fiji.

We raise funds through the ubiquitous Rotary BBQ’s, an annual Charity Golf Day and other specific events. We are always appreciative of donations received from individuals or other community or corporate organisations.

Our members benefit from regular vocational development, including regular guest speakers, vocational visits to businesses and of course the valuable networking opportunities that are intrinsic to an organisation as large as Rotary.

But Rotary and particularly the Rotary Club of Boronia doesn’t undertake service projects, fundraising and professional development in a boring way. Our club members are from a wide variety of ages, backgrounds and personalities. This means that whenever our club gets together to do something, whether it be a project, weekly meeting or social function, we have heaps of fun! It’s very common for club members to become some of your closest friends for life.

So if you live or work in Boronia or nearby suburbs and you want make a difference locally and internationally, participate in professional development and networking and have plenty of enjoyable times in the process, please contact us and we would love to invite you to one of our meetings as a guest.

Our Rotarians are all people who want to give back to their community and take the opportunity to serve others.
