Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF)

Man and women talkingWatch Bill Gates tell you what Lions Clubs are doing, and about his challenge to us. Giving the measles vaccine to children is one of the simplest things we can do to protect them from the disease and its dreadful consequences.

On July 8, 2013 LCIF committed to a new partnership with Gavi to protect tens of millions of children against measles. The agreement consists of USD 7.5 million per year between 2014-2017. All contributions will be matched by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for the first two years and subsequently by the UK for the remaining two years.
Australian Lions Foundation ALF

Provides financial assistance and support in cases of National Disaster, Emergency and Community Welfare, encouraging International Understanding and Cooperation by Relief projects in Developing Countries.

Australian Lions Children’s Mobility Foundation

Child in a hart walker with parents and LionsThe Foundation seeks funding for Hart Walkers and other mobility devices to allow children affected by Cerebral Palsy to stand and walk to the best of their ability. Working hand in hand with the State Cerebral Palsy Associations, this foundation is a concept of our Lions Clubs District and an innovation of Australia Lion Parry Palmer AM, a past International President of Lions Clubs International.

Lions Club of Burwood Inc. has 26 years of service in Burwood and its' affiliated with the Lions Clubs International and LCI Foundation.
