About Foodbank Queensland
Established by Clem Jones AO in 1995, Foodbank Queensland is the largest and most trusted hunger relief charity in Queensland. Foodbank Queensland is a not-for-profit organisation with a vision of a Queensland without hunger and a mission to deliver the most food, to the most Queenslanders in need, in the most efficient and effective ways.
Foodbank Queensland supports Queenslanders in crisis by rescuing and sourcing more than 14 million kg of food and groceries from farmers, manufacturers, and retailers each year. This food is then distributed through a network of more than 250 Queensland front-line charities across the state to feed more than 200,000 Queenslanders in crisis each month. Foodbank Queensland also runs a Schools Breakfast program, delivered in over 300 schools, this program feeds more than 29,000 children on a weekly basis.
Each year Foodbank Queensland supports over 200,000 Queenslanders each month in partnership with over 250 front-line charities, feeds over 29,000 children on a weekly basis via 300 Schools Breakfast Programs, sources over 14 million kg of food, enough food for more than 25 million meals and saves over 22 million kg of CO2 emissions from impacting our environment.
