Urban Search and Rescue (USAR K9 WA)

Urban Search And Rescue (USAR) canine teams are trained to find survivors trapped due to building collapse in disasters such as earthquakes and cyclones. The dogs are primarily used in the initial stages of response to detect the strongest source of human scent, even if the person cannot be seen and is trapped metres underground.
