Wollongong City Council Social Support Services

Wollongong City Council’s Social Support Services assists people to continue to socially interact and participate in the community and maintain their independence.

We provide services such as 1-on-1 support for social and recreational activities such as shopping, outings, coffee, walks or maybe just a visit and a chat. Our Social Groups provide people with social interaction within a group setting. We also have a range of services to support carer’s through providing good quality respite such as bus trips, luncheons, events and get-togethers. Social Support Services also provides a supported Men’s Shed for older men.
