About AnchorWA

ANCHORWA is an organisation which offers mentoring support for young people through direct relationships.

The target of the program is to raise the level of opportunities available to young people as well as raise their ability to grasp them, encouraging positive life choices.

The AnchorWA network connects supporting adults to young people, providing safe spaces for conversation, activities, fun, and positive experiences through one-on-one friendships of at least one year.

Mentors and mentees schedule their own contact times but must commit to a minimum of 8 hours per month. Mentors and mentees are encouraged to do every day free/low cost activities like going on a picnic, watching a movie, going to the beach, kicking a football, walking a dog, bike riding etc.

It is a pathway for adults with beneficial skills, time and life experiences to share through friendship - and strengthen our community via intergenerational association.
