About Zonta Club Of Melbourne's South East (Based In Frankston)
Zonta Club of Melbourne’s South East Inc is a club within the worldwide service organisation of Zonta International working to improve the status of women and empower women worldwide. ZCMSE was previously called the Zonta Club of Frankston and has worked in the local community for 42 years. In recent times we have focused on advocacy across a range of issue for women; raising awareness of domestic violence and supporting women and children impacted by domestic violence. Health and education are strong themes in our work eg annual $750 Education Grant is made to the Monterey Secondary College; stationery packs for students forced into new schools by domestic violence distributed through WAYSS; support to Orange Door for emergency kits; construction and distribution of breast cushions to aid recovery from breast cancer surgery; active participation in the planning and activities for Frankston’s 16 Days of Activism to raise awareness of domestic violence and most recently the funding and delivery of a full Mental Health First Aid course for community participants.
