About Friends of the Children Foundation Inc. (FOTCF)

FOTCF (Friends of the Children Foundation) is a not for profit, registered charitable community group which has come together to nurture our environment, to improve our children’s health and to educate them on leading healthy life style. Through this, we strive towards building a better world for our future generations.

We started this journey of NO destination more than twenty years ago, by organizing walks to raise funds for Children Hospital projects and got involved in the activities like, Tree plantation day, Clean up Australia Day and Clean up the world day, in order to understand and help environment and support community.

Till now in our history of twenty years we have raised and contributed more than one and a quarter million dollars towards children hospital projects and other natural disasters.

Under our latest community project, we collect Bread and other Bakery items from different bakeries in our area and take them to Neighbourhood Houses, Men's Shed, Emergency Relief Organisations, Church Groups, and Seniors Group. Every week we supply more than 450 meals to needy in South East of Melbourne.

Recently we also started Aluminium cans collection and recycling programme at Clayton North Primary School. The objective of this initiative is to A) Learn about recycling and saving natural resources. B) Clean up and recycle. C) Sell these cans to Metal recyclers and invest raised money in Children Hospital projects.

We have also started Grand Parents Breakfast at the school, in order to connect them to wider school community.
