About Fighter World Inc.
Fighter World is a world class aviation museum committed to preserving the proud history of RAAF fighter aircraft operations. Fighter World is also recognised as the RAAF Williamtown Heritage Centre.
Located just 20 mins drive north of Newcastle at Newcastle Airport, Fighter World is a totally ‘hands on’ experience. Visitors can walk-around and touch some of Australia’s most iconic aircraft plus sit in the cockpit of an historic Mirage jet fighter and a Macchi jet trainer.
We currently have 35 volunteers that help maintain the grounds, design and construct displays, host our visitors and provide engineering services to preserve our fleet of 17 aircraft and replicas.
We are actively seeking motivated men and women to join our team - in particular IT specialists and those interested in aviation history and willing to conduct guided tours for our visitors. Hours are flexible and would also suit parents who are only available between 10am and 2:30pm.
