About Koala Conservation Australia

Koala Conservation Australia runs the Port Macquarie Koala Hospital. The hospital rescues sick and injured koalas, treats and rehabilitates them and wherever possible, releases them back to the wild. It is also involved in education, conservation and research relating to koalas. The organisation is establishing the world's first wild koala breeding program with the aim to increase the number of koalas in the wild. It is a primarily volunteer based organisations that relies on donations to carry out its work. The Koala Hospital is open to the public for visits.
